Teeth Whitening (Bleaching)

Healthy and white teeth are of great importance in terms of aesthetics. Teeth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the natural color of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. You are considered as a good candidate if your teeth are stained on the surface by food and drinks such as tea, coffee, red wine and blackcurrant and if you are smokers.

As a result of a detailed examination of the dentist, two types of teeth whitening methods can be applied. The process, which is performed within an hour in a clinical setting called Power Bleaching, consists of a whitening gel and a special light device. It is a fast, reliable and effective whitening method that can whiten the teeth color up to 3-4 tones in a short time. On the other hand, with the home bleaching method, the whitening procedure is performed by placing gels in plastic mouthpieces prepared specially with a simple measuring.

Teeth whitening procedures can be applied to anyone who does not have any dental and gum diseases. Those who have advanced caries or gum disease in their mouth should apply the whitening process after they have completed their treatment.

During and following the operation the same day, you may feel tingling sensation in your teeth and pain, which is normal. But it will pass sooner. The desired whitening of the teeth is achieved in 5-7 days on average. It is mostly enough to wear personal mouthpieces in the mouth for 4 to 8 hours a day. The treatment doesn’t cause any damage to teeth.
