Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant
Sapphire FUE Hair Transplantation ensures to obtain even a higher success rates with the utilization of sapphire-tipped special devices.
Technology is developing rapidly every day. This, in turn, has open the way for the development of new, innovative hair transplant techniques.
The FUE method known as Follicular Unit Extraction is one of the advanced technique used hair transplantation providing permanent and natural looking results. Sapphire FUE Hair Transplantation ensures to obtain even a higher success rates with the utilization of sapphire-tipped special devices.
Sapphire Fue hair transplantation is one step ahead of the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method in terms of technology. The operation is performed by taking healthy hair follicles one by one with micro punches known as special tipped micro motors with a diameter of 0.6-0.8 mm and transferring them to non-hair areas.
The operation is performed under local anesthesia or sedation just as in FUE hair transplantation method. Sapphire Fue hair transplantation pays attention to the the natural hair growth angle and direction. The most important difference here is that specially designed tips obtained from real sapphire are used in the micro motors used to transplant healthy hair follicles to the recipient area during the procedure.
In Sapphire FUE hair transplantation, an average of 2-3 hair follicles, i.e. grafts, are transplanted for each point where hair growth is desired. 4 thousand to 6 thousand grafts, that is, 8 thousand to 12 thousand hair follicles, are collected in one session.
The operation takes about that takes 5 to 8 hours depending the number of grafts and the size of the recipient are.
Just like during FUE operation, the area where hair follicles will be transplanted is determined by marking before the procedure. By opening a channel in this area, the transplantation procedure is performed according to the size and direction of the hair follicle. It is possible to transplant 50 – 60 hair follicles per square centimeter, depending on the number of follicles obtained and the opening of the recipient area.
Sapphire is the second hardest crystal after diamond. This crystal, which is rarer in nature than diamond, can be obtained naturally or synthetically. The FUE method in hair transplantation gains importance in the grooving procedure performed during transplantation of hair follicles. The most preferred FUE hair transplant method in the world is normally performed with metal slits, or tips.
However, in Sapphire FUE hair transplantation, the process is performed with the tips produced from real sapphire instead of metal tips. This provides a minimal crusting and a faster healing processes in the small micro-channels in which the grafts will be transplanted.
Opening channels is the most important factor for the success of the hair transplantation procedure as the channels where the collected follicles will be transplanted will greatly affect the appearance after hair transplantation. In this method, the boundaries such as the angle, direction and density of the hair are determined directly.
That the small channels opened with sharp, smooth and durable sapphire tips with a diameter of 1 to 1.5 mm are in the exact size of the hair follicle, allows more channels to be opened in the same area and thus the hair follicles to be transplanted closer to each other.
However, it should be noted that the natural hair angle is around 40-45 degrees and transplanting the hair at much more right angles for the sake of achieving a denser hair appearance can lead to undesired appearance. Sapphire FUE technique is performed under sedation and combined with other methods that increase patient comfort, such as hair transplantation without shaving.
